Those are issues the industry has to deal with and fraud’s another issue the industry has to deal with. So just because piracy isn’t an issue doesn’t mean there aren’t other things that dominate the mind of the game developers and publishers for online games.

But the NFL is not the only sports organization that is for the UIGEA. The NCAA basketball hockey and baseball organizations have joined the efforts made by the NFL to keep the UIGEA. D?Amato has stated that he is for leagues banning wagering on their own game but he does have a problem with the leagues trying to block online poker. That’s disappointing and as we were trying to get the issues worked out I was chatting with my friends on our Vent server. It became clear how this is affecting the game’s chances at retail. “I’m going to wait until all this is worked out” one of my online gaming buddies said when I asked if he was buying the game. He said he didn’t want to beta test it for the first week and when I tried to argue about how good the game is he brought up the fact that he had listened to us curse the online system for fifteen minutes. It’s less than half what you’d pay to play World of Warcraft. Sony saying they will allow 3rd parties to run their online network for them has resulted in an almost across the board worse experience online for me on the PS3. nly Resistance 2 and KillZone 2 have really solid online play and that’s pretty sad compared to the dozens upon dozens of excellent online games I can choose from on the 360. I pay more for one month of my internet ISP (AT&T UVerse) than I do for a year of XBox Live Gold. It’s simply not a bad deal. Reply to this comment.
